The SKI CENTRE MAVROVO has three chair lifts and eleven ski lifts. The length of chair lifts is 4.800 m.

The largest artificial lake in Macedonia is part of Mavrovo National Park. Due to its elevation (over 1,000 meters, or 3,000 feet), this mountain lake sometimes freezes over in winter. From Mavrovo the road leads to the magnificent monastery of St. Jovan Bigorski, passing through the breath-taking canyon of the Radika River.The monastery itself was build and rebuild several times, from XI to the XIX Century, and is famous for its unique icon holder in deep woodcarving, as well as other sacral relics located inside the monastery

Every year, in the middle of July, the village of Galicnik organizes the traditional "Wedding in Galicnik".It is rare opportunity to see the beautiful national costumes, household furniture, customs, unique architecture of the old house, feel the folklore and hear folk music and national dances.
